Shane was born in April 1998. He is an active, energetic boy who is small for his age but what he lacks in size he more than makes up for with his bright smile and loving personality.
He likes to play video games and is an Alabama football fan. Shane has been baptized and enjoys attending Church regularly. It is very important to Shane that his adoptive family be active in Church.
Shane is currently prescribed medication to treat ADHD. He has also been diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis which is a neurological disorder,
Shane has suffered much disappointment in his life and is currently working to develop age-appropriate coping skills as well as ways to better communicate with his siblings and peers. He has a strong bond with his younger brother and although they have trouble at times interacting with one another they are very protective of each other. It will be important that Shane maintain contact with his brother in the future.
Shane currently receives special education assistance in all subjects. He has an Individual Education Plan in place to address his needs.
His ideal adoptive home would include a mother and a father. He needs a forever family with lots of energy and unconditional love who will support him while providing him with a structured environment.
