Sheila, “Shay”, born March 2008, is very creative and likes to make up stories. She enjoys playing outdoors, listening to stories, reading books, and playing dress-up. She has dolls and loves to play with them. She enjoys music and attending church and participating in singing. Her favorite food is pizza and chicken nuggets. Sheila has a sweet nature, but can become easily upset and angered especially when she does not get her way. Sheila wants to be a nurse when she grows up. She is in the 1st grade in school (15-16). She repeated Kindergarten and has an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) and receives special education services. She also receives occupational therapy through her IEP. Sheila struggles with basic grade level skills and will require a family who will be dedicated and very involved in her academic progress and education. She participates in counseling and will need to continue once placed in an adoptive home.
